Baking Duties:

  • Bread Production: Participate in the preparation and baking of bread, ensuring consistent quality and taste.
  • Ganache and Fillings: Prepare all types of ganache and fillings for various pastries.

Food Preparation:

  • Sandwiches and Croissants: Prepare sandwiches and twice-baked croissants for retail.
  • Filling and Decorating: Fill and decorate all breads and pastries, maintaining high presentation standards.

Maintenance:

  • Freezers, Chillers, and Storage: Ensure that freezers, chillers, and storage areas are tidy and clean.
  • Workstation Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations at all times.

Research and Development:

  • New Product Development: Assist in the research and development of new products alongside the senior baker or general manager.

General Duties:

  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties as required by the company.

Cake Production:

  • Daily Production: Assist in the daily production of cakes, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Cutting and Wrapping: Cut and wrap cakes with precision and care.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all cakes meet quality standards, removing any that are too small or not aesthetically pleasing.
  • Preorder product Management: Ensure all preorders are properly reserved and prepared.

Research and Development:

  • New Product Development: Participate in the research and development of new products alongside the senior baker or general manager.

Maintenance and Cleanliness:

  • Workstation Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of workstations throughout the day.
  • End-of-Day Equipment Wipe Down: Thoroughly wipe down all kitchen equipment at the end of each day.

General Duties:

  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties as required by the company.

Barista Duties:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, ensuring high standards of quality.
  • Heat up pastries and make kaya toast.
  • Prepare sandwiches, French toast, and other simple mains.

Customer Service:

  • Show the warmth of hospitality at Keong Saik Bakery by welcoming every customer as a part of our family.
  • Introduce and explain our products to customers with enthusiasm, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated.

Product Management:

  • Ensure that bread and cake displays are always fully stocked and visually appealing.

Cafe Maintenance:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the cafe at all times.
  • Wash dishes and keep kitchen areas spotless.
  • Regularly sweep and mop the floor.
